b. Carcoar Cup Running Festival 2/3 November, 2019

It’s hard to believe that we will be staging our NINTH running of the Carcoar Cup in 2019. Our event has gone from a madman’s idea to an event which attracts runners from all over Australia and even overseas. Whole families come and in 2019 we think we will have over 200 kids in the Carcoar Cup for Kids. They make a weekend of it, staying in this fantastic region (please contact us if you need any help with accommodation 02 6367 3290), coming to the great Pasta Night on Saturday night to rub shoulders with other runners and their families. On the day in Carcoar and Neville all runners are recognised for their efforts – everybody gets a beautiful medal, there is a pace and a time for all runners – not all of us have the Harry Summers or Angela Bateup afterburners after all.

The Carcoar Cup experience is one that people who have become friends revisit year after year, and that those who will be friends are entering for the first time. This is one of the greatest and most beautiful courses in Australia. We have put in a huge amount of effort to make it a challenging and enjoyable festival for you all, so please come and join us.

c. Carcoar Village Festival, January 26, 2020

Thousands visit Carcoar each year to take part or be a spectator at the Australia celebrations in Carcoar. Re-enactments, rides, food, Australia Day parade, stalls – it is a great place to be.

Applications for stallholders for the 2020 Festival will be posted in due course.

d. Carcoar Art Experience March 2020

The Carcoar Art Experience is a series of weekend workshops that feature renowned artists and teachers. We have a group welcome dinner on the Friday evening, followed by tuition on the Saturday and Sunday, punctuated with gourmet morning/afternoon teas and lunches, and dinner on the Saturday evening. This really showcases art, food and Carcoar, and a terrific time is usually had by all. Paints are provided.
All are welcome from beginners to professional artists, and all are personally looked after.
The latest workshop will be held in March, 2020 at the historic Carcoar School of Arts. Peter Griffen returns to introduce artists to the freedom of abstract.
Contact Jane or Andrew Baulch for information and reservations. 02 63673290

e. Carcoar Birds

Carcoar has a wide variety of birdlife, from Crimson and Eastern Rosella to Eastern Spinebills, fairy wrens, honeyeaters, treecreepers, kookaburras and so many more. You don’t have to look far to see them where they roam freely in the very tranquil surroundings of the lovely village of Carcoar. We have even started to see Superb and King Parrots and Magpies and Blackbirds entertain us with their song.
